What is it good for?
An IPv6-only VPS is a good fit when your public traffic already goes through an IPv4 frontend (reverse proxy, load balancer, VPN) — or when workloads stay internal.
Recommended use cases
- Application backend behind a reverse proxy (nginx, Traefik, HAProxy)
- Worker nodes, CI/CD runners, queue consumers
- Private-cluster databases, Redis cache, Elasticsearch
- Site-to-site VPN or IPv6-only bastion host
- Test, staging or learning environments
Not recommended for
- Public web servers where most visitors are on IPv4-only (many mobile carriers, hotels and corporate networks still expose IPv4 only)
- Inbound mail server (MX) — third-party SMTP relays still favor IPv4 and IPv6 PTR is not guaranteed on Free Pro upstream
- Mainstream game servers (Minecraft, etc.) — most players only have IPv4
